David O'Reilly

Hi, I’m David. I’ve been working in the broadcast industry all my adult life - mainly as a presenter and producer at the BBC. I presented a music show called Across the Line for 17 years, but have also produced or presented comedy, sport, magazine and Ulster-Scots shows, some documentaries and other random bits and bobs. I’ve also promoted club nights and DJ’d at a number of venues over the years and regularly write about music and culture. Outside of all that, I guess my big passion is football - and I set up and now coach a woman’s team called Belfast Ravens. I started as station manager here in February and it’s been a hugely rewarding experience developing OFFSHOOT TV - especially working with such a motivated and creative team.

Tiarnan Larkin

Hi, I'm Tiarnan, I am the Technical Coordinator for Offshoot TV at Ulster University. My role involves managing all aspects of our technology - from the cameras and lenses we use to the lighting and post-production software. My goal is to ensure that all Offshoot TV content has a unique look and feel that best represents the vision of our producers and directors. I’ve a decade of experience as a freelance photographer and lighting camera operator. Throughout my career, I have worked on a wide range of projects, including branded online content, short films, and documentaries. I have a deep passion for technology and love being as creative as possible with the tools we have available.

Erin McDaid

Hi, I’m Erin - a recent graduate from Ulster University’s Screen Production Bachelors course. I’m really enjoying my time at OFFSHOOT TV - mainly working working in development, production and editing. My main focuses are creating content for young people about student life across Northern Ireland - though my favourite strand is “Why This One?” as I love highlighting local talent/ My skills are primarily in developing ideas, camera and sound. Outside of work, I really enjoy creating art - whether that is painting or crochet, I also love travelling and - when at home - going to concerts and Late Night Art.

Maya Kelly

Hi, I’m Maya, I recently graduated Screen Production here at Ulster University. My aspirations are to create content which gives everyone a voice, and to inspire difference. Currently, my favourite strand is "Letter To my First-Year Self" as I think it is  important for people entering university to hear from those who have already been through it and hopefully pick up some useful tips for settling in. That strand is full of the type of advice I wish I had as a first year! My key skillsets are developing ideas, writing, camera, editing, and directing interviews. Outside of work, I enjoy painting, sketching, playing guitar, and songwriting.

Adam Milligan

Hi, I’m Adam, a screen production graduate specialising in camera and editing. I’m also a cinephile - and my ultimate ambition is to one day work as a director in the film and/or TV industry. I have directed two short films as part of my university course - and I want to keep writing and directing shorts in my spare time. My favourite film is The Good the Bad and The Ugly and my favourite director is David Lynch. Outside of film, my interests are basketball, darts and listening to audiobooks.

Amy McGoldrick

Hi, I’m Amy, I’m currently studying Interactive Media here at Ulster University. I’m about to begin my third year on a placement year as a trainee producer at OFFSHOOT TV. I really enjoy experimenting with different types of media to create new and interesting content. My aspiration is to run a freelance media agency working with small businesses to build their online presence. I have had experience working on local shorts and a feature film from being a runner on set to stand in. Aside from this I really enjoy watching podcasts and playing camogie for my local GAA club.
